A goal is a result. An area of focus is a gateway.
Rod Judkins, The Art of Creative Thinking
Having goals is playing the finite game. New goals replace old goals, and completeness is pushed beyond the cognitive horizon.
The aim of skiing is not to get to the bottom of the slope. It is to have one more go before the sun sets. People who ski don't have a goal. They have an area of focus, to have some fun.
We don't measure how much fun we get skiing down a slope.
